“Seeking Liberty" celebrates the 300th anniversary of the Charter of the City of Annapolis, granted under Queen Anne in 1708. The celebration, known as Annapolis Charter 300, was initiated and sustained for well over a year by Annapolis Mayor Ellen O. Moyer, who desired to highlight the important role of history and archaeology in the public's understanding of the City's significance. The Office of the Mayor, the Banneker-Douglass Museum and Archaeology in Annapolis worked together to produce this exhibit and now welcome the long term web catalogue. The University of Maryland and Ms. Jessica Mundt created this online exhibit through a grant provided by the Institute for Museums, Preservation, Archaeology, Research, and Training.
